I’m looking for permanent full-time non-customer/client-facing administrative work such as shipping/receiving, inventory management, IT, or bookkeeping, optimally a combination of those responsibilities, for an honest and relatively small business.
My computer skills are on the level of “amateur tech support” (which I do not infrequently) and include a rudimentary familiarity with the main web design languages (HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL), easily enough for most small businesses’ needs. I’m also familiar with general double entry accounting practices, which I actually use to track my personal finances. In other areas I am quite willing to learn, which is something do best through practice, and there’s a diverse array of tasks in which I have informal experience. I also excel at establishing workflows and believe if a job is worth going then it’s worth doing well.
What I would be expecting from an employer is essentially a fair day’s pay for an honest day’s work. In other words, an environment where professionalism and integrity are valued, a workload that’s neither unmanageable nor a waste of my time, and a reasonable guarantee that I’ll always be paid enough to meet my needs. I hope this will be the first step in a long and mutually beneficial relationship.
